That picture is of a Marganite, as stated earlier. I realized that there was I picture of one in PC Gamer, and it doesnt have grey skin, instead it is similar to human flesh and is tan. This eliminates the possiblity of them being related to seer and mursaat, because if I recall correctly the seer had grey skin. Although I do not doubt that the mursaat and the seer may thicken the plot in Nightfall.

Also the mursaat look to have feet, that game-art pic doesn't have feet. And I just noticed taht Mursaat don't have four arms.
If anything, this monster pictured here could be related to the seer, the alien whose race fought the mursaat on another planet. Definitely not mursaat though.
The knight's helm horns and the metal tusk protrusions on the game-arts head may have similar shape, but that's about it.
Comparing that game-art to mursaat is like saying a cat is the same as a dog because they both have big ears, paws, a tail, and walk on all four.
Cat =! Dog
Mursaat =! Game-art
BTW what store had the pre-release. I checked EB, Gamestop, and Bestbuy today on the way home from work and no luck

Sorry for the double post, but you mentioned the Seer being from another planet, I don't remember anyone saying that, was that a joke, or was it really mentioned. If it was actually mentioned, could you tell me where I can get more info on that?

The Seer said it's race had been wiped out if memory serves, however the Marganites could be some sort of offshoot of the Seer's race. Perhaps the Mursaat, the Titans, and the Plague Shiro wrought were all just distractions to avert our eyes from the truth behind the plagues of evil creatures.
What I am interested in is the title of the sixth deity, Balthazaar is the god of war, Lyssa is the god of intrigue, Melandru is the god of nature, Dwayna is the god of healing (what would be a better title/term? Life?) and Grenth is the god of death... Death isn't necessarily evil however, and this sixth deity seems to be quite evil... Perhaps it's the god of Chaos or something to that effect?

In terms of enemies to finish up, the only army with lots of strings still untied is the Charr.
-Mursaat: Pwned by you and Lich
-Undead: You pwned the Lich
-Mantle: Leader killed
-Stone Summit: Leader killed.
Personally, I'm hoping that we'll get to pwn the Charr in chapter 3, but if not I'm not going to cry

As far as my interpretation of that creature, I'd agree it's Seer related. Nightfall is supposed to wrap up many, many loose ends from Prophecies. I'm very intrigued. I just hope the Seer isn't the evil, and isn't the bane of all 3 chapters.
Oh no! We've been fulfilling the prophecy for the architects of evil this whole time!

I Doubt that the will pull another undead Lich Double Trick on us using the Seer, IMO, The Seer is the only real good.
But who cares about all that... what happened to Gwen? (Retohricle Question)

Aye. The Seer does show up in Hell's Precipice as well, and not as an enemy - which seems to indicate that it does actually care about Tyria not being wiped out by the Titans.
On the Mursaat: There have been theories that the Mursaat are actually an ancient race that has Ascended, based on similarities between the armour style of the Enchanted (the theory being that the Enchanted were made from suits of armour left behind by the ancient Mursaat around the time they Ascended) and the Mursaat.
And I don't think we'll get to gun for the Charr in C3, but there are references in C1 to the lands to the north of Tyria that may get explored in a later chapter that gives us the chance to deal with the Charr. That said, I think the Charr do get dealt with in the story - first, by killing their general in Rin before going on exile, and second by destroying their gods in the Titan Quests.

Well, from what we know about the sixth god so far I would say Chaos is a safe bet. There is definitely a link between the sixth god and the ToPK & Dragon Festival events which featured such love things as Facets of Chaos and the like.

I would hope they aren't the same, or the price of Mursaat items would tank >.<

The Seer could pass for a marganite to me.
